Meet the greatest golf caddie of all time
Between Two Beers Newsletter
Steve Williams was Tiger Woods' caddie for 12 years during the peak of his career.
Together they won 13 majors, and Steve became considered the greatest golf caddies of all time.
Naturally there's a whole lot of chat about Tiger and their remarkable relationship, but for 10 years after their professional relationship ended, Steve and Tiger didn't talk.
But they do now, and Steve is releasing a book 'Together We Roared' which documents in great detail - all their greatest hits and we cover some the best ones in our episode!
We also cover all of Steve’s incredible life story, from his childhood in Paraparaumu, to working with Greg Norman and Ray Floyd, the highs and lows of his time with Tiger Woods, how it all ended, the 10 years they spent with no communication - and a whole lot more.
This is an eye-opening look into the career of one of NZ’s most successful sportspeople, who had access to some of the greatest athletes in history.
Best Laugh: When Steve had to come clean to Greg Norman about his real age!
Best Insight: Steve’s first-person experience of the mentality of the best to ever compete in sport first hand.
Biggest Surprise: Steve had a golf handicap of 2 at age 10!
