Rachel Hunter - The Girl From Glenfield Who Made The Big Time

Between Two Beers Newsletter

Rachel Hunter is the girl from Glenfield who made the big time.

She was a teen who left high school, became a supermodel, married rockstar Rod Stewart and became an international celebrity who will be forever etched into the collective consciousness of Kiwis having been part of our lives since the early 1990s.

‘Our Rachel’ quickly became one of New Zealand’s most recognisable and loved faces, gracing the pages of Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, before making her mark as an international model in New York working with prestigious brands such as Covergirl, Italian Vogue, Elle, and Sports Illustrated, and working extensively in film and television in both the US and the UK.

She then delved into the realms of wellness, longevity, and the essence of beauty. These days she travels the world as a spiritual teacher - and we were lucky enough to grab her for a few hours when she was briefly back in New Zealand.

This was a really fun chat that gave a peak behind the curtain of an exceptional life.
