The Best Year of Our Lives - Behind the Pod

2024 has been the best year of our lives. Without doubt.

Seamus lost 30kgs. I survived a year with four kids under eight. And we both ditched our day jobs to work full time on our hobby that started in my Glenview garage in Hamilton

Together, we emceed 10 events across New Zealand, delivered 8 key note presentations, hosted our first ever live show, sung in front of 550 people dressed as a woman and cried on five different podcast episodes.

Our podcast has had nearly 2 million downloads in 2024 and 30 million impressions across social media, we won two podcast awards, used the word 'journey' 21,862 times and have surrounded ourselves with the best humans we know, to form a formidable team.

There have been challenges too. At times, the stress and workload has tested our ‘friendship/business partner’ relationship, no one is coming to save us if this doesn't work, we made the tough call to shut down our Business podcast and the ‘work-life’ balance is still a work in progress. (Also Seamus posted a really inappropriate photo on Insta which revealed my 'Zidane patch' from a birds eye view angle) 

But we couldn’t be happier with the platform laid for 2025.

And we couldn’t have done it without you listening - or all the incredible guests we've had the privilege of spending time with.
